Mauvais djo
Joel Raul Marcolino (born 20 October 1997), known professionally as Mauvais Djo, is a French MC and songwriter. He first gained recognition in the French nightclub scene before beginning his recording career. He co-founded the French hip-hop group Triangle des Bermudes with MC Yoshi and Kokosvoice in 2023 and helped establish its YPDP record label. They released their debut studio album, Triangle des Bermudes 1.0, that July, followed by their second album, Triangle des Bermudes 2.0, in July 2024.
The group gained wider recognition with the release of the EP Franchement! on 14 February 2025. It spawned the Carlos Monsta-written and produced single "Charger", which topped the Ultratop Wallonia chart and peaked at number two in France, number four on Billboard's Luxembourg chart, number 11 on the UK Afrobeats Singles Chart, and number 15 in Switzerland. The single was certified diamond by the SNEP in France. The trio's third studio album, 404, followed on 3 April 2026 and debuted at number 12 in France, number 24 in Wallonia and number 52 in Switzerland.
Mauvais Djo began his solo career with several releases, including the EP L'Undertaker Part. 1, released in August 2025. It spent 13 weeks on the Dutch chart and reached a peak position of number 32. The EP was supported by "Pilé", which gained wider attention after the Kano Choir YouTube channel uploaded an AI-generated gospel rendition that went viral. Djo subsequently released an official version featuring Kano Choir, Taliixo and DJ Wiils. The gospel version reached number two in Switzerland, number three in the Netherlands, and number eight in both France and Wallonia. The original, co-written by Djo, William Davy Fonseca and Alexis Pereira, topped the French chart and also charted in Germany, Austria and Italy. Djo and Boateng co-founded the independent label Nojoke Record in September 2025, and in March of the next year, his single "Maladie" peaked at number three in France, number five in Switzerland and number 16 in Italy. Djo released his debut studio album, L'Undertaker, Pt. 2, on 4 September 2026 as the follow-up to L'Undertaker Part. 1. It became his first solo top-ten album in France after reaching number 10 on the French Albums Chart.
